The behind-the-scenes details

The following is an explanation of how to schedule your retreat visit. Before I do that, please (in as humble a way as possible) let me remind you that your visit to the retreat center is about as exclusive as it possibly can get. No where else in the world can you live in the house of a world class Internet marketer and pick his brain for an entire weekend (we're even going to start scheduling these events during the week). With that in mind, you will have to be flexible in scheduling your visit to the center.

Behind the scenes:

Why I can't pick the dates far in advance.
The reason is that I'm in high demand as a speaker at events like Mark Victor Hansen's MEGA series, Debbie Allen's Maximizing Success Bootcamp, Freedom Builders National Tour, etc. These events can mean 100K-250K for one 90 minute speech. It would not be prudent to turn down such large amounts of money. If I did, you probably wouldn't think I was too smart of a mentor now would you?

Most of these events are on weekends, so to help remedy this situation I'm going to start holding some retreats during the week.

Difficult to organize

When a retreat weekend is scheduled we have an entire team of people that go into action to make sure your visit is everything you expected and more. We begin with a top to bottom cleaning of the entire facility. We maintain the highest quality linens, towels, robes for your total comfort while you are here. We customize the snacks and food you like to eat. We account for food allergies and special dietary requirements. Our pool, hot tub, sauna, theater and workout room are in top condition when you arrive.

What makes much of the above even more difficult is that many people don't get their paperwork back to us in a timely fashion so we are scrambling at the last minute to find some obscure organic chocolate chip cookies or rice milk or some other hard to find item.

We are also planning your airport pickup via limo which again means we sometimes have to scramble at the last minute to get you picked up occasionally at 11:00 at night.

Don't think I'm complaining. I want an unrivaled experience for you when you are here and unless some emergency happens you have my undivided attention during the event. I just want you to know that we go all out for you so whatever hassles you have scheduling your visit will seem like nothing once you get here and enjoy the experience we will make for you.

Bad Apples

Here's some more behind-the-scenes stuff I think you'll find funny.

We've had people steal the robes from their room (which is amazing since it's pretty obvious from which room the robes were missing). We've had people complain there was too much food. One guy said there was too much talking going on during the breaks and he couldn't think --- hahaha my God there are two acres of room at this estate and you can literally hide and never be seen if you want to.

Wait till you hear this! . . . We had one couple (we assume they were fooling around) get one bed in their room all bloody and then do it again in the other bed and get it all bloody.

Some bad apples think they are the only person here and want to dominate every minute of my time even going so far as to interrupt me while I'm helping someone else.

We also get the know-it-alls who always know the best course of action for everyone else and they've been there and done that more than humanly possible.

I only had to throw one guy out so far. He went out on his own Saturday night and came in all drunk on Sunday with his zipper down.....This just happened to be the weekend News Channel 3 was doing a feature about the facility.

One much older lady was here (she kind of looked like the lady in Playboy cartoons) and she chased me around the house trying to pull my shorts down yelling, "Let's see what you got Internet boy!" She was also trying to get us all to get naked and jump in the hot tub and we caught her skinny dipping in the pool. AND to quote the famous Dave Berry...I'M NOT MAKING THIS UP!

Scheduling your visit

Here are the rules of how we schedule your visit to the retreat center:

  • You must have completed your online homework and physical product homework before you schedule a visit. It makes no sense at all for you to come here and ask all the simple questions you could have easily learned from the materials.

  • You can bring yourself and one other person who would stay in the same room with you. This can be a support person, relative or spouse. This CANNOT be a young child under any circumstances, or a teenager who is not fully participating in the training.

  • You can bring up to four people, but two of them must stay at a hotel at your expense and commute to the Retreat Center. We have plenty of room for training during the day, but we can't sleep that many. The offsite people will still participate at our expense in all meals and training.

  • If we are already sold out on a selected retreat, you and your staff can still come for the training, but you would have to stay at a hotel at your expense and commute. You and your staff will still participate at our expense in all meals and training.

  • You should schedule your flight to arrive at Norfolk International Airport (ORF) so that you arrive at the Retreat Center no earlier than 3:00 PM Eastern Time on your arrival day You will depart the Retreat Center by 10:00 AM on the day of departure.

  • There are severe penalties for cancellation and you must sign an agreement that outlines the situations that allow cancellation without penalty.

  • To maximize participation and get everyone their visit as soon as they are ready, we cannot allocate a double room to a single visitor unless that visitor is willing to share a double room with another same sex visitor.

  • To schedule your visit, estimate when you will be done with your training and then pick a month that you are interested in coming. (Keep in mind you most likely will not know the actual dates at this time) Email or call my office with your choice. We then put you on a list on a first come first serve basis. When I choose the dates for the event I call the first person on the list to see if that person wants to confirm. The person will have 48 hours to confirm. If the person comes back to me and says, "Darn, my cousin's wedding is that weekend and I can't make it." No problem and no penalty. I just move down to the next person on the list until I have filled the Retreat Center for that month.

  • Once a person confirms they want to come, they MUST return the signed visitor's agreement within 48 hours or their position is lost.

One other thing to keep in mind. Your visit to the Retreat Center is just one part of your year-long training program. Don't expect to fool around and blow off your learning assignments and then come here and think I am going to anoint you with magic Internet knowledge. Keep working hard and you will get great results!
