This page is designed to give you many different samples of how you can link to our sites. Please read through it carefully and pick out the sample that is most appropriate for the type of website visitors you get. You can then tweak what we have written to make it perfect for your site.

First, you must decide how and where you want to incorporate Tom's links into your website.

Many sites have multiple areas on their site that they link to our various sites. We have many opportunities for you to make money with our products. Don't hesitate to link to us from multiple areas in your website. Remember, the more people that see your links... the more people that click... the more people that order... the more referral fees you get.

Text Links

People now tend to gloss over banner ads so an "endorsed" text link will probably make you a lot more money.

Endorsed means that you highly recommend us and since your visitors trust your opinion, they are more likely to click through and check us out.

We recommend that you link to us on your main page because of the exposure. Appropriate secondary pages are good too, especially if our products and memberships are complimentary to the text on the page.

Another good place to put affiliate text links is on a "Thank You" page in your shopping cart so you can make even more money from someone after they are LEAVING your site.

It's generally not a great idea to lump tons of affiliate links from different programs together. You probably won't make many sales because it will be confusing to your visitors and you will look like a jack of all trades.

WE CAN'T EMPHASIZE THIS POINT ENOUGH. You must make comments and pick headlines that match the type of visitor you get. In other words don't put a link that says "ATTENTION TOASTMASTERS" on your site, if you primarily get people interested in home based businesses. Even though some of the visitors will be Toastmasters, most won't, and most won't click through your link and you won't get many sales.

If you get both Toastmasters AND people interested in home based business you could have links that say "Toastmasters click here" and "Home Based Business Entrepreneurs click here"  This would take the people to a separate page just for them where you would slant your endorsement toward Toastmasters on one page and Home Based Business folks on the other page.

SALES TIP # 1 
(Make personal recommendations)

Emphasize what Tom Antion's materials and information have done for you. Anytime you can add a phrase of how it helped you personally, do it. It will mean more referral fees for you!

Your personal recommendation of Tom's products will gain up to 400% more clicks than just a link (that means you triple or quadruple your referral fees!) If you know Tom, you know how powerful his material is and that he should be charging a lot more for it . . .so you can give it your personal recommendation.

Using this method can create huge profits for you and you'll feel great knowing you are recommending a product that has fantastic information and is truly worth every penny. In all the examples above it is the personal recommendation that will alone "triple your sales." Remember: The longer the recommendation, the better it will pull.

SALES TIP # 2 
(Newsletters)

If you have a newsletter, Ezine, or a customer email/database list, it can be a very powerful way to promote Tom's products. This is a way to really make big referral fees.

You also want to consider using any lead lists you have compiled from ads you have run or adding a link / recommendation to us on any autoresponders you may have. You can even use us in your signature line when you post to email discussion lists, forums and newsgroups (but remember --  NO SPAM)

Sample letters for your customer database:

"Thank you for purchasing (insert your product here) not too long ago. We appreciate your business. I am emailing you for two reasons. The first is to thank you for your business and the second is to mention something that we thought would be of interest to you . . ." (at this point you put in the appropriate recommendation from above depending on the type of customer you have)

Or, if you have a guest list of a free service you offer on your website, you could say:

"Thank you for visiting our site and using our Free (insert your free service here). I am emailing you for two reasons. The first is to thank you for stopping by and the second is to mention something that we thought would be of interest to you . . ." (again, at this point you put in the appropriate recommendation from above depending on the type of visitor you have)

If you have a an electronic newsletter or Electronic Magazine (Ezine)

You could say that you are emailing your readers separately from the regular Ezine because you have found something on the net that is worth mentioning and wanted to bring it to their attention. (Then insert a recommendation like the one above) This approach will, by far, pull in the best response, because it is a personal note separate from the standard newsletter and it will demand attention and urgency.

If you use autoresponders
For those of you that don't know, an autoresponder automatically sends your message in response to an email sent to it. For example: if a person would request information from you, they would automatically get the information emailed back to them.. This happens behind the scenes so that you don't  have to send out all of these emails personally. 

Autoresponders can also be tied to a customer purchase. This is a great way to automatically follow up with your customers to thank them, give them extra service AND upsell them to additional products of your own plus affiliate products. This is called "upselling after the sale".

If you use the extremely advanced yet inexpensive shopping system that we use http://www.kickstartcart.com you have an unlimited number of very sophisticated autoresponders ready whenever you need them.

Autoresponders are great for allowing people to get your articles and all kinds of information from you without your direct input. You set it up once and they can access the information anytime.

So how can autoresponders help you sell?

You can put your short recommendations in along with the information that is going out on the autoresponder. Some people get 2 or 300 requests a day for free things like articles, newsletters, tip sheets, e-courses etc. You can make a fortune, just by sending a personal recommendation and link along with each automatic response. All you have to do is take a minute to add the recommendation and link to your materials and it goes out automatically around the clock day in and day out, year in and year out with no other work on your part. (Don't you love to make money while you are sleeping?)

SALES TIP # 3 
(Speaking at a live event)

If you have occasion to speak in front of groups, many times you can find an appropriate time to mention our sites. The most effective way is to tell the audience the benefits to them of visiting one of Tom's sites . . .  (speaking skills help their career, they can make money speaking, they can make money on the Internet, etc.)  and then write the link on a flipchart, overhead, or put it in a PowerPoint slide. Give the audience a chance to write it down. 

NOTE: Your affiliate link is normally far too long and cumbersome to write down or say from the stage. The best idea is to make an easily remembered page in your site to send the people to like http://www.YourSite.com/antion or something like that. When people visit that page, you would recommend a product of mine and embed your long affiliate link right next to the product you just endorsed.

Not only is this a "personal recommendation, it was actually done "in person" which makes an even greater impact than emailing it to them. A great way to make the link handy is to give them a link to a downloadable handout you are providing them. That way they can click on our link without retyping it.

Handout materials
To piggyback on tip # 3 above, make sure you put your recommendation and link in your handout materials if you use them (and most of the time you should). This way there is no chance that the link will be copied down incorrectly. Again, the red note just above tells you the best way to do this.

SALES Tip #  4 
(Package Inserts)

Print up a an inexpensive insert to put in the package whenever you ship a product to one of your customers. This is an extremely effective way to put your personal recommendation in front of people who already are buying from you. It could be part of a "Thank You" note for purchasing. You could say something like::

"Thanks so much for purchasing our new and improved widget. Since we always like to give extra value to our customers we recommend you visit a fantastic site we discovered on the Internet that will really improve your communication skills . . . " (then put an appropriate blurb about Tom's products and the link.)

You don't have to use the exact thank you note above, but it's a good way to lead in to your personal recommendation. And the best part is, this only costs you pennies. The customer has already purchased and probably paid the shipping, so it's a much better deal than doing a separate mailing that, comparatively, would cost a fortune.

SALES TIP # 5 
(Trade Ads and Article Space)

If you have a newsletter or Ezine, trade ads with other newsletter or Ezine publishers, or better yet, trade article space. Many times the classified ads are never even seen by people because they mentally tune them out as they read through a newsletter. Articles, however, get a much higher attention level and they also give you more space to make your recommendation. Don't get us wrong. If someone wants to trade ads, go for it. You have nothing much to lose, but if you get a chance at article space, take it first.

You might want to write several different articles. Some newsletters will want higher content and not much of a pitch and others don't care how blatant you pitch their readers. Have several articles ready to go if you plan on using this idea and let the newsletter publishers pick which one they like. Send them the conservative one first so you don't scare them off from making a deal.

SALES TIP # 6
(Use Interviews)

You can also have a webpage on your site that re-prints an interesting interview with Tom. This interview isn't ready just yet, but it should be in a month or so. The interview can get people really excited about starting a speaking business or improving their speaking or Internet marketing skills. Tom will talk about how he got started and all the costly mistakes he made and all the great successes too.

NOTE: If you decide to use the interviews, make sure you still have other recommendations and banners at appropriate places on your site. The interview page should be an "addition" to your promotions for the link to Tom's products NOT a replacement for the current links you have.

SALES TIP # 7
(Use Video)

You are most likely capable of shooting short videos and uploading them to many free video hosting sites like YouTube, Google Video and many others. If you tag appropriate keywords to these videos, they will be found and you can do an endorsement of one of my products or services. Make sure to drive the traffic to a page on your site that's easy to say and write. This would be the page where you would embed your affiliate link.

Affiliates sending unsolicited commercial email or posting to "inappropriate" newsgroups will not be tolerated.. 

It is against your affiliate agreement to advertise our web site via unsolicited email. Some people think that affiliate "Spam" email originated from us, damaging our reputation and causing us many administrative problems. DO NOT send unsolicited email to promote us, or you will be in violation of your affiliate agreement and your account will be terminated, forfeiting all outstanding referral fees. Your cooperation and understanding is appreciated. 

However, do not get this confused with PROPER WAYS to promote Tom's products. Please recommend the course in your autoresponders, in a personal email to your clientele base, your lead lists, people that contact you and you stay in touch with, a newsletter list, at your website, even in appropriate email discussion lists, etc.
