Russell Kamalski is the Chief Operating Officer for "Chicken Soup for the Soul" Enterprises, Inc. Kamalski has launched several new "Chicken Soup" branded businesses, including syndicated television inserts, syndicated radio inserts, online courses, vitamins and nutritional supplements, and a line of "Chicken Soup" endorsed videos. He assisted in reorganizing the company, and implementing an overall strategy for the brand.  

Based on consistent demand, in April 2000, Kamalski started Consumer Strategies, Inc., a corporation designed to manage the marketing and development of consumer products and to leverage brand equity. Clients include "Chicken Soup for the Soul", Jessica Cosmetics International where he led the launch of a retail division opening 10,000 “retail doors” and expanding company operations by opening a European office and distribution center in Germany, and Michael Thurmond’s "Body Makeover" where he negotiated an infomercial agreement resulting in more than $75M in sales.

From March 1989 to April 2000 Kamalski was President and Chief Executive Officer of Kathy Smith Lifestyles, the umbrella holding company for the Kathy Smith health and fitness business brand. He was instrumental in building the Kathy Smith name into a leading company in the health and fitness industry and was personally responsible for launching more than 50 Kathy Smith products representing over $200 million in retail sales. He led all negotiations and business dealings for the core business ventures including a seven-year multi-million dollar production/licensing video agreement with Sony Music, and the purchase and subsequent re-license of the 23-title Kathy Smith video library from Warner Home Video. He negotiated licensing and development agreements for many Kathy Smith products including a line of audio cassettes distributed by Time Warner Audiobooks, five books published by Warner Books, licensed fitness equipment and workout shoes, and several direct response projects including the award-winning "WalkFit" infomercial which generated sales in excess of $30 million. Kamalski served as Executive Producer for 18 Kathy Smith videos, as well as CD-ROM’s, CD-I and DVD's.

From January 1993 to June 1995, Kamalski served as Executive Vice President of "BodyVision", a joint-venture fitness label owned by Kathy Smith and Time-Warner. He was responsible for the sales, marketing and production for more than 53 video titles released under the "BodyVision" label including Kathy Smith, Susan Powder, Gin Miller, Daisy Fuentes, and Tony Little.

Prior to his position at "BodyVision", Kamalski was Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Media Home Entertainment, a $250 million independent video company. He was responsible for a 200-title video division with sales in excess of $75 million. He managed the top selling sell-through lines including Charles Schultz's "Peanuts", "Pee-Wee's Playhouse", NFL football, Kathy Smith fitness, and the "Nightmare on Elm Street" franchise.  

From April 1983 to July 1988, he was involved in the children's industry as an Account Executive at Ogilvy & Mather Advertising working on the Mattel Toy account, and as Director of Marketing for the $40 million Preschool and Infant brands at Mattel Toys. He was also Director of Marketing at New World Entertainment responsible for launching the children's video division based on licensed characters such as Fisher-Price Little People and Marvel Super Heroes.
